Meet Houston Phillips: Houston Phillips was born and raised a UT Vols fan in Cleveland, Tennessee. He attended Belmont University where he learned about the music industry. Houston landed a job selling merch for Jerrod Niemann, where he started writing songs. Shortly after he began work as a tour manager for Tyler Farr as his career was just starting. He managed Tyler as he was the opening act on tours with Flordia Georgia Line, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, and more. He is currently a staff songwriter for Curb and has songs recorded by Jason Aldean, Trace Adkins, Colt Ford, Aaron Lewis, Tyler Farr, Jerrod Niemann, and many more.
What Bart has to say: It’s been fun watching Houston (from afar vantage point) to go from an opening act tour manager to a well-respected songwriter. He has kept his priorities as 1. His faith in Jesus, 2. A good husband and father 3. A good songwriter. I really respect that about him!
